THE CCIS-II TRAINING INCLUDES A 3RD DAY OF ADVANCED SCENARIO-BASED TRAINING AND IS INTENDED FOR PROFESSIONALS, FIRST RESPONDERS AND MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS WORKERS WHO WORK IN THE FIELD OR THOSE WHO ENGAGE CRISIS ON A REGULAR BASIS.
**Please note that tuition does not cover the application/ certification fee to NAMA of $150. Certification is not a requirement to attend the training.
*This Seminar is approved by the National Anger Management Association (NAMA). The seminar fulfills ALL the requirements for (NAMA) Crisis Intervention Specialist-II Certification. The CCIS training event has limited seating (25) so it is important to register soon.

Andy Prisco, CCIS-V is the Founder of the Psychiatric Emergency Response Team program within the State of Washington’s Department of Social and Health Services. It is a legislatively funded program that operates in several facilities throughout the State. The program’s structure, training, and people are credited with significant reductions in violence, injuries, and the use of seclusion and restraint in State Hospitals, Forensic Psychiatric Facilities, and Total Confinement Facilities.
Andy is a Fellow with the National Anger Management Association (NAMA) and a co-developer of the only certification available in Crisis Intervention from a professional mental health association. He is an author of the Crisis Intervention Certification Handbook, Best Practices for First Responders (ISBN: 978-1-893505-65-0). The NAMA credential is under adoption initiatives within a neighboring state to WA as an advanced and necessary credential for Crisis Intervention program coordinators in Public Safety Agencies throughout that State.
Andy has provided trainings, in-services, and presentations across the United States as a subject matter expert through Crisis Intervention Partners, an organization dedicated to the advancement of competency trainings in Crisis Intervention/De-Escalation, to law enforcement professionals, hostage negotiation teams, crisis negotiation teams, fire/ems personnel, and psychiatric care and services professionals. In addition to behavioral health credentials, he maintains public safety credentials as a Firefighter, Fire Training Instructor, Rescue Swimmer, Rope Rescue Technician, and Company Officer. In 2017, Andy was a nominee for the Hero of the Year Award from the Washington Council of Behavioral Health. Andy was nominated again in 2019 and won the award.
Laura Beth Moss, CCIS-IV, CAMS-V is a nationally sought author, teacher, Supervisor and Diplomat for the National Anger Management Association (NAMA). She is the Founder of Growth Central Training and the Co-Director of Growth Central, teaching and training therapists, social workers and counselors to work with court-mandated anger management clients. Laura is a regular presenter at the the NAMA International Annual Conference each year. She has taught and worked alongside Dr. Richard Pfeiffer, President of the National Anger Management Association, since 2012.
She is also a Certified Integrative Life Coach through the International Association of Counselors and Therapists. She specializes in helping people navigate their personal narratives as well as integrate and explore complex, emotional states. More recently, she developed and co-authored the Crisis Intervention Certification Handbook. In addition, she has a great passion for personal health and wellness. She is an experienced Vipassana meditator with many years of practice in various yoga modalities and is currently a L1 Certified Student Instructor in Foundation Training.
Laura grew up in the foothills of North Carolina and moved to New York City after graduating from the esteemed The University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Laura's long history as a Broadway, television and film actress brings a uniquely engaging style of teaching and presentation that deeply resonates with students.
