GCT’s Collaboration with the University of WA and BHCORE Featured in the Seattle Times

We are thrilled to see GCT’s collaboration with the University of Washington School of Social Work and the launch of BHCORE. The new Behavioral Health Crisis Outreach Response and Education initiative is a groundbreaking training program for first responders in Washington, featured in the Seattle Times!

This collaboration emphasizes innovative approaches to crisis intervention, including popular concepts from GCT’s curriculum like SAD HATS and emotional triggers. Through this program, first responders will delve into essential skills like self-regulation, dysregulation, and co-regulation to enhance their ability to manage high-stress situations effectively.

These concepts form a cornerstone of GCT’s Certified Crisis Intervention Specialist training, known as “The EDGE Approach to De-escalation.”

Stay tuned as this training continues to empower responders with the tools they need to make a meaningful difference in their communities.
